Our member Dawn Tevis has just opened a solo show of her marbling in the Winona Public Library Bell Art Room.
The show is entitled, “Wild Marbling: Experimental Aqueous Surface Design” and explores ancient water-marbling traditions from Suminagashi forward. The exhibit includes 14 original works that explore inner and outer landscapes rooted in the natural world and are inspired by liminal spaces and places. Take a road trip to Winona and check it out! The show will run from March 2-30 during library open hours and is free. The show and a February workshop introducing people to the marbling process were made possible by grants from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council.
